The important legacy of modernism is clearly visible in the Girona region. In the late nineteenth and early twentieth century,  as a result of growth and transformation of the cities, architecture and the decorative arts, among others, were filled with organic shapes inspired by nature and the ephemeral world. You can enjoy the modernist creative stamp on many buildings in major cities like Girona or Barcelona, such as casinos and residences that the Catalan bourgeoisie build during that period inspired by this innovative style.

A walk through its streets, and the center of the neighborhoods, you can admire apartment blocks, single-family homes and industrial buildings by architects such as Rafael Maso (Block Batlle, Farinera Teixidor Casa Maso, “the Punxa” and Casa Gispert Sauch) Eugeni Campllonch (House Franquesa), Isidre Bosch Bataller (Furest House and Casa Noguera), Joan Roca Pinet (House and Casa Norat Rigau), Josep Marti Burch (Auguet Block) and Enric Cata Cata (Regàs Breweries and Distilleries Gerunda), among others.
